We are a family based business with over 45 years of experience in the design and development of nets suitable for New Zealand's conditions.

Our founder, Tony Smith started Netmaster over 45 years ago. Tony’s expertise in the industry gained us the reputation for being one of the leading manufacturer of horticultural nets in New Zealand. We were the last remaining producer in New Zealand up until 8 years ago when the market changed due to international production efficiencies.

Today our nets are sourced from factories overseas by companies who are able to deliver to the production standards that we require for the New Zealand weather conditions. Tony keeps quality control over the design of our nets, so we know that our products are of the best of quality for the New Zealand market. We are a direct importer which means that we can get the best possible price for commercial use and distribution.

Meet The Team

Tony Hopper: When you call in Tony will likely answer the phone and loves to share his vast knowledge of the industry helping with any questions about Nets including their many uses, how to measure up your requirements and ideas on installation.

Linda Hopper: Tony's daughter joined the company 6 years ago and works in administration, marketing and sales. She has a background in Sales and marketing and worked for Redvale Lime Company for over 8 years selling lime and fertilisers and aggregates to the horticultural and farming sector.

Dean Hopper: joined Netmaster a couple of years ago to support the Sales Team. Dean comes from a background of farming and was very involved in the management of a family business growing Stone fruit and a berry orchard in Cambridge. Dean is a qualified builder and uses his knowledge to help people decide the best way to erect or attach their nets and to work out the square metres required.

Lesley Harris: has been with Netmaster for 5 years and has a business and marketing degree from Hertford University in Hertfordshire UK. She’s very knowledgeable in all Netmaster products and assists in the general day to day enquiries and administration.

At Netmasters, every day is a ‘bring your dog to work’ day, we also love to bake so if you are in the area feel free to pop in, the kettle is always on!
